Serving process is legally required in many cases and recommended in many other legal situations. This process involves having the defendant in a case legally notified with a subpoena to appear in court. Although evading service is thought to be a way of avoiding criminal or civil charges, it is not. Service and court are inevitable, but having an experienced process server helps facilitate the court process, especially for out-of-town plaintiffs.
In Florida, process servers are appointed by the county sheriff. They must fill out an application and be subjected to a background check. Professional process servers are by far the best option for service as they are educated, trained in serving effectively, and motivated to finish the job.
Although we cannot provide legal advice, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. We will help you in any way possible.
The eviction process can be complicated and time-consuming, but when landlords hire an experienced process server, they avoid running into snags that can make the legal process even longer. PPS will be there to serve your three-day notice, summons and complaint. We understand that this can be an uncomfortable and sometimes difficult time, but we are experts in helping property owners, both private and commercial, enforce their rights in the case of nonpayment or a breach of the rental agreement.
We work with landlords, managers, and commercial real estate representatives throughout Miami-Dade County, Broward County, Palm Beach County, and Southern Florida. Landlords who work with a professional process server over a Sheriff save time, have more success, and facilitate and expedite the eviction process.
